We would like to thank Ms Jerlyn Tang from Change@Werk for conducting the Deepening Teamwork Workshop for our two system management branches – HR and NS Admin on 11 Oct 2018.
Through Ms Jerlyn’s facilitation, both branches engaged in conversation topics that we would not have thought of sharing with each other. Through such sharing, we get to know our fellow colleagues much better in hours as compared to the years we have shared the same office.
We have stretched our mind to look at things in different lights, doing a lot of self-reflection and dwelled on the changes in our life. Despite the discomfort that one felt in the beginning, it has definitely forged a level of trust between the members that is invaluable to the improvement of teamwork between the participants.
Dear Jerlyn
Thank you so much once again for your help in value-adding to the design of the discussion segment at the retreat at such short notice, and accommodating our requirements.
Your advice and guidance had helped to tailor the retreat to draw out useful feedback from the participants, which will greatly aid us in developing our strategic direction.
Thanks so much once again!
I would not hesitate to recommend Jerlyn as an effective Action Learning Coach and a Professional Facilitator for any Team Building and Learning Development programme. I had engaged Jerlyn for two separate facilitated sessions and through these two sessions, Jerlyn's professionalism and competence; in client engagement, trying to understand my requirement and proposing appropriate facilitation ideas, were very evident.
The first team learning session helped to engage my core staff within the management team to be open to each other, and to understand and establish the need for change. I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome of that session where Jerlyn using Action Learning methodology, to achieve unanimous buy-in and shaping the mindset of people to willingly review and accepting the need for change. I even remembered one feedback from my staff after the session was that: “It was such a therapeutic session!” and they actually enjoyed the coaching and the openness of the whole conversation.
My whole department was involved in the second team building and team learning (TBTL) workshop to review our Mission statements, to collectively come up with a Vision statement and eventually to buy-in to the restructuring that was coming ahead. The TBTL workshop was well designed and conducted in an engaging and interactive way. Not only did I find my staff giving very frank and constructive feedback on the challenges faced by the department; we also came closer as a team to explore how we could move forward as a team.
It was indeed two memorable and effectively facilitated workshops which had helped bring my department to a different level of cohesiveness and collaboration. I would like to commend Jerlyn for a job well done!
Dear Jerlyn
We would like to thank you for facilitating at our NSAD’s brainstorming booth at the PS21 Excel Convention 2008.
With your advice in reframing the questions and redesigning of process, the session went on well and you have made the process easier for us to categorise and garner suggested ideas into four key areas in "NSmen, Families, Employers and Servicemen". You were also an engaging facilitator who was very encouraging and was able to get people to suggest not just one, but a few ideas on the spot.
We had gotten many good ideas and feedback that NSAD can explore in enhancing NS commitment to Defence. Thank you once again and you have truly demonstrated the professionalism of a good facilitator.
NEA engaged Jerlyn to design and conduct an Innovation-related workshop for our inaugural Innovation and Learning Festival for 80 NEA staff in February 2012.
Prior to the workshop, Jerlyn interviewed us to understand our requirements and was very professional in explaining her process design and deliverables to us. The Innovation Workshop, which teaches staff how to leverage on the World Café methodology to elicit ideas around six key areas concerning the organization, was delivered in a fun and interactive way. Besides the excellent feedback from participants who were excited about learning a new, innovative process tool, NEA benefited from being able to harness some great ideas from the participants.
I would highly recommend Jerlyn as a professional coach and facilitator to other companies.
